There's no doubt about it, prom is often one of the most magical nights of any teenager's high school career.

But for some students, who are faced with challenges like providing for their family, raising younger siblings or fighting life-threatening illnesses, going to the prom is little more than a dream.

That's where Greater Vancouver's Cinderella Project comes in. For the past 10 years, a group of "fairy godparents" behind the project, which is based out of West Vancouver, have been working hard to allow deserving students to attend their high school proms, providing them with dresses, suits, and accessories. So far, 1,500 students have been touched by the project and this year another 150 will be added to the list.

On Feb. 22, this year's Boutique Day will be held at Vancouver Renaissance Harbourside Hotel, where graduating students will be able to pick out their outfits and receive tips on hair and makeup. As the day coincides with the Academy Awards, this year's theme is Cinderella Goes to the Oscars, and the goal is to make each student feel like they've won an award for an outstanding achievement.

Each teen will also receive lunch and a goody bag filled with products like shampoo, deodorant, socks, granola bars, box drinks and more.
