"I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to have been a part of the Cinderella Boutique Day… Some of the students looked so unsure as they sat in the lobby, waiting their turn to go in. Then when they entered..." S.C., Boutique Day Volunteer

2009 WISH LIST

Not sure what to donate? Make a cash donation. go...
Each year, we have a number of Cinderellas and Cinderfellas who need specially sized or fitted clothing due to unique circumstances or physical disabilities. Often, we're unable to accommodate these students from our inventory of donated merchandise. Your cash donation will enable us to purchase special garments, shoes and accessories for these students to help make their graduation dreams a reality.

Important Note: We will not be accepting items for donation until January 2009.  However, here are some examples of the type of things that we are often in need of.

Food Items

Pre-packaged, individual-sized snacks. Ideally we would like to provide relatively healthy things like: fresh apples, juice-based drinks, power-ade drinks, bottled water, power bars, granola bars, fruit snacks, mints, etc. but most teens also enjoy a “treat “ of chips, candy bars or mints.

Why do we ask for individually wrapped food items? Quite simply because most of our Cinderellas and Cinderfellas do not have enough to eat. During the week, most of the students are on their school’s subsidized lunch program. On the weekend’s many have to do without. On Boutique Day, the majority of the Cinderellas and Cinderfellas (and any family member who attends with them) have not had breakfast or lunch. We like to make sure we give them something to eat on the way home.

Supplies/Decorations

  • Mirrors, full length, 3-way and tabletop display mirrors
  • Hair dressing supplies for hair stylists at Boutique Day - boxes of bobby pins, hairspray, gel etc. -ideally, one set of styling products per stylist (we have 20 to 25 stylist).

Your generosity and ingenuity can make a huge difference for a deserving graduate. For example, an ophthalmologist donated an eye exam and contact lenses that went to a deserving graduate who came to Boutique Day wearing eyeglasses held together with duct tape.
